About Our Agency

Hale Insurance Agency was founded in 1938 and run by Earl and Opal Bielby in Hale, MI. In 1955 Mr. & Mrs. Bielby hired Bunny Bissonnette to work in the agency. When they decided to sell the agency they wisely sold to Bunny and her husband Louie.

In 1973 Hale Insurance Agency purchased Bannister Insurance Agency from Harold (Bud) and Kay Bannister. Mr. and Mrs. Bissonnette owned and operated the agency until Louie’s death in 1990. Bunny then continued to own and operate the agency until she made the choice to retire in 1999. At that time Bunny sold the agency to Ryan and Laura Parkinson who were Hale natives living and working in Frankenmuth at the time. Mr. & Mrs. Parkinson moved back to Hale in November of 1999 and continue to own and operate the agency.

In 2006 the agency incorporated to the current entity of Hale Insurance Agency, Inc. Hale Insurance has been blessed with common community values and incredible employees in its 80 years of existence. It has been a blessing to serve the Hale and 60 Lakes area and we look forward to many years to come.
